Get Moving for Asthma!

Sadly, asthma still claims lives, with at least one asthma related death occurring every 11 days in Western Australia.

Asthma affects 1 in 9 children and 1 in 10 adults. Please assist us in helping people breathe better.

Did you know that your entry fee and the sponsorship we have for this event covers the logistical costs involved in staging this event every year?

Fundraising is simple and rewarding and the Asthma Foundation of WA has set every rider a challenge to fundraise $100 for Asthma in time for the 2011 event.  

As a community based, not for profit organisation, the Asthma Foundation of WA relies heavily on the support of the community. By fundraising for the HBF Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma, you are ensuring the Asthma Foundation can provide support to more than 225,000 Western Australians directly impacted by asthma.

In the lead up to the 2011 event, if every cyclist takes part in the $100 Challenge for Asthma, the impact throughout our community will be dramatic! By setting up your own, online webpage you can appeal to your family, friends, colleagues and staff to make a difference.

$100 is an easy target and one that will change the future for those living with asthma in WA. So please support the Asthma Foundation of WA by starting your efforts to raise $100 for Asthma by March 2011. Your $100 fundraising contribution will go directly towards education and support services for asthma sufferers and their carers. It will also allow us to continue funding research in the hope that one day, we WILL find a cure.

The Asthma Foundation of WA hopes you had a fantastic time riding in the HBF Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma in 2010 and are busy training for next year’s event.
