HBF Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma Launch!

On 21 March the HBF Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma will see 10,000 cyclists cruising up the freeway to raise awareness and funds for the Asthma Foundation of WA. On Friday 5 March the launch for the event was held with a group of premier Perth Captains of Industry cycling to raise awareness of asthma in the community.

These captains met at the South Perth foreshore and lapped the bridges before breakfast at Incontro restaurant. It was a highly successful morning with both Cr. Tognolini and CEO David Johnson speaking about the importance of fundraising and the $100 Challenge. This Challenge has been put in place to encourage all riders to fundraise. If every rider can raise $100 the effect will be drastic!

Riding to raise awareness of this message was Deputy Lord Mayor John Tognolini from City of Perth, Graham Moss from the Tourism Council of WA; Russell Green, Avant Solar; Dean Turner, Fosters Group; David McKenna from Jarman McKenna Barristers and Solicitors and David Budge from Tri Events.

Unable to attend on the morning were Wayne Loxley, WA Athletics; Brad Lowson, EVOL LNG and Peow Lim from the Esplanade Hotel.

There is now a healthy competition happening between these riders who are all vying for number one fundraising position. Good luck to each rider on the day and may the best person win #1 position as the Asthma Foundation of WA fundraising leader!
